1. Decompress Jauth-Setup-0.2.0.zip
2. Run JAuth-Setup-0.2.0.exe. It installs for your user only (no admin prompt), sets up new shells to use JAuth, and starts JAuth in the system tray.
3. Pair: right-click the tray icon and choose Quit JAuth. Then run jauthd pair in a terminal, scan the QR code with the app, and start JAuth again from the Start menu.
4. Open a new PowerShell window and run:
   jauth-cli status
   jauth-cli getpub “Main Key” # add to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on the server
   ssh you@your-server # approve on the phone

PuTTY (0.75 or newer) finds JAuth on its own, as long as Pageant itself isn’t running. PuTTY can’t prove which server it’s connecting to, so you approve every PuTTY login separately, and the phone shows the destination as unverified.

Use Windows’ own ssh, not the one that comes with Git Bash. Git Bash’s version can’t reach JAuth.
